| The Wirral Show is jointly organised by the Wallasey Rotary,
Round Table and Lions Clubs, raising funds for well deserving charities
and community projects every year. The three clubs (members of which form the
Wirral Show Committee) give up a lot of time and effort in organising this event,
all of which is voluntary.
Each club is deservedly proud of its achievements. Membership of these clubs
(by invitation only) is open to Men and Women of all ages who have a firm interest
in using some of their spare time and their talents to serve their local community
whilst widening their social circle and performing rewarding and valuable community
services.
THE ROTARY CLUB OF WALLASEY
Chartered on November 2nd, 1928, the Rotary Club of Wallasey has been very active
in the Community and Internationally for over 79 years. As part of a large International
Association of Rotary Clubs, we are faced with the challenge of developing our
club so it can carry on with its charitable work in the local communities for
the next 79 years. Meetings are held each Thursday. We would like to hear from
business, professional and community minded people - male and female - who feel
they can offer something to the Club and the local community, in return for fellowship,
friendship and social interaction. Please contact us for an informal invitation.

THE LIONS CLUB OF WALLASEY
The Wallasey Lions Club was chartered in 1974 and has established a reputation
for active community service in Wallasey and co-operation with our friends in
Rotary and Round Table. Opportunities for service has grown as the club has grown.
Now, local men and women working together as a team achieve more together than
they could ever achieve as individuals. We meet to transact business on the first
Monday of each month at the Old Wallaseyans Club at 8.00pm. Activities extend
throughout the year to include fund-raising and welfare work as well as social
occasions.
